Back to the Wichita Mountains

Here are some more production stills from the Wichita Mountains. We are now in Shawnee getting ready to shoot at the Mabee-Gerrer Museum of Art and St. Gregory's Abbey for the next three days. We will be staying at the Abbey during our time here.

Climbing the rocks.....

Shooting the vistas and the buffalos....

Katherine prepares to draw and be interviewed.

Preparing for the interview with Katherine.....

The view from our perch on the rocks. The rocks are primarily pink granite and covered in vibrant colors of lichen and moss in a normally wet year.

You get a sense of the size and formations of the rocks from this photo.

Katherine and Jack Bryan, her former department chair at Cameron University and good friend enjoy going out into the Wichita Mountains together to sketch. They have a totally different approach to what they see and perceive in their art. You'll hear all about it in our documentary.
